AgileEngine is seeking an Elixir Engineer to build and maintain a growing software platform as an embedded member of a small engineering team in Cartagena, Colombia. You will own development from requirements to delivery and collaborate closely with product managers to translate user problems into technical solutions.

You will design and maintain API integrations, work with PostgreSQL, and write reliable, well-tested production code while contributing to the platform's evolution and engineering

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Elixir and/or Erlang.
• Strong understanding of functional programming principles.
• Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience designing, consuming, or maintaining APIs and service integrations.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals and modern development practices.
• Ability to independently own and deliver engineering tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Based in Latin America with strong working-hour overlap with the team in Austin, Texas.

Responsabilités

• Availability for a full-time engagement.
• Based in Latin America with strong working-hour overlap with the team in Austin, Texas.
• Ability to occasionally travel to the United States if required.
