Profitline Sas in Colombia seeks an experienced SDET / Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for modernized enterprise apps (.NET 6 to .NET 10). You will collaborate with developers, QA, and the Tech Lead to improve quality and enable reliable releases across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include creating end-to-end tests, integrating tests into CI/CD, executing manual testing as needed, and documenting defects with metrics.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in SDET, test automation or QA engineering.
• Experience with Playwright or similar modern automation tools.
• Experience testing .NET, React and TypeScript applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Strong communication and collaboration within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable test coverage.

Job Description
The SDET / Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for manual testing as well establishing and executing the automated testing strategy supporting the modernization of enterprise applications from .NET 6 to .NET 10. This role will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and the Tech Lead to build scalable test automation frameworks, improve software quality, and ensure reliable releases throughout the project lifecycle. The SDET will play a key role in validating application functionality, reducing regression risk, and supporting continuous delivery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
Create automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests for modernized applications.
Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Participate in manual testing and manual testing best practices to achieve full coverage of modernized applications.
Identify, troubleshoot, and document software defects and quality issues.
Validate application upgrades, dependency updates, and compatibility changes introduced during modernization.
Execute test automation against web applications, APIs, and supporting services.
Analyze test results, provide quality metrics, and communicate risks to project stakeholders.
Promote test automation best practices and continuous quality improvement across both development squads.
Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including (automated) test plans, test cases, test results, defect tracking, and release readiness.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET), Test Automation, or Quality Assurance engineering roles.
Strong experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
Experience with Playwright or similar modern test automation tools.
Experience testing web applications built with .NET, React, and TypeScript technologies.
Experience validating REST APIs, integrations, and backend services.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Experience working with Git-based repositories, Jira, and Agile development teams.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable automated test coverage.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.
