DS Manager, Global Payroll Product Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The DS Manager, Global Payroll Product leads global payroll product strategy, process standardization, technology enablement, data migration, integrations, and operational readiness for Payroll and Time & Attendance. The role serves as a business product owner for payroll-enabling platforms and partners across Payroll, HR, Compliance, IT, Contact Center, vendors, and regional teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and employee-centered payroll solutions. This leader will guide transformation from country-based processes to global standards while ensuring business continuity during separation, implementation, go-live, and steady state.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Finance, HR, or equivalent experience required. Minimum 7 years of experience in Payroll, Time & Attendance, payroll operations, process design, case management, or related transformation roles required. Experience leading or supporting global payroll implementations, divestitures, acquisitions, carve-outs, or large‑scale transformation programs preferred. Hands‑on experience with payroll and workforce platforms such as SAP ECC, SuccessFactors, ADP GlobalView, Workday, Kronos, Workforce Manager, ServiceNow, or Salesforce required/preferred based on scope. Experience with data migration, integrations, testing, reconciliation, access controls, audit readiness, and compliance governance preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex business and technical concepts into clear messages for senior leaders and distributed teams. Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, manage priorities, resolve issues, and deliver in a fast‑paced, global environment. Six Sigma, LEAN, Process Excellence training or certification preferred. Ability to work across NA, EMEA, LATAM, and ASPAC time zones; up to 25% domestic and/or international travel may be required.
