Job summary

Globant in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to design and operate scalable cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP, implementing SRE best practices and robust monitoring.

You will collaborate with global teams to optimize incident response, reliability, and performance, using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. Fluent English required; local candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• Fluent English (B2 - Upper Intermediate)
• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including: SLAs, SLOs, SLIs definition and tracking Incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem culture
• Cloud Security Best Practices, Advanced Networking Concepts, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Datadog, ELK Stack, CloudFormation, Argo CD, Azure DevOps, Varnish
• Proficiency with cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Containers and orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift), Docker Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (preferred)
• CloudFormation CI/CD experience: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Azure DevOps
• HTTP protocol and related implementations: Apache, NGINX, Varnish, ALB, CDN (e.g., AWS CloudFront)
• Programming/scripting in Python, Go, JavaScript, and Bash
• Experience with both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis/Valkey, Cassandra, Memcached)
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
• Solid grasp of networking concept
