A technology company is seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer to join their engineering operations team. This fully remote role involves creating infrastructure-as-code and automating CI/CD processes on AWS. Candidates must have extensive experience with AWS CloudFormation and scripting, particularly in Python. The position offers a global work environment and competitive salary in USD.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation (mandatory).
• Scripting proficiency (preferably Python).
• Experience with Chef or similar configuration management tools.
• Experience building and operating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with security/compliance practices (SOC2, PCI, etc.).
• Experience with Git-based SCM tools (Bitbucket/Git), Jira, Confluence.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) B2+ / C1 MANDATORY.

Role Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer to join the engineering operations team of a technology company. The role focuses on infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD automation, and secure deployment processes across AWS environments. You will work closely with engineering and operations teams to standardize deployments, automate cloud provisioning, and support production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and Packer.
• Manage configuration and provisioning using Chef (bonus: Terraform, Ansible).
• Build automation scripts—preferably in Python—to streamline operational workflows.
• Implement and follow DevSecOps standards (SOC2, PCI, etc.) within deployment pipelines.
• Manage and integrate tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery and database schema changes.
• Support AWS database services (Aurora/RDS/MySQL) as a plus.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations.
• Document processes, standards, and playbooks for internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS CloudFormation (mandatory).
• Scripting proficiency (preferably Python).
• Experience with Chef or similar configuration management tools.
• Experience building and operating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.

• Previous experience working remotely with US‑based teams.

About the Position

Full‑time 100% remote role. Contractor Mode.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (US Eastern Time).
