Job summary

Applaudo is seeking a Data Scientist to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. You will prepare data, build models, and create dashboards using Power BI, with GCP for data pipelines, in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

This temporary, full-time position runs from November 2 to December 31, 2026, based in Colombia. Native Spanish and strong English are required; you will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven recommendations.

You are a Data Scientist who enjoys transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that support better business decisions. You combine strong analytical thinking with a hands-on approach to data preparation, statistical modeling, machine learning, and visualization, turning business challenges into practical, data-driven solutions.

You are comfortable working across cloud-based data environments, exploring information from multiple sources, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability throughout the analytical process. You enjoy collaborating with technical and business stakeholders, communicating complex findings clearly, and developing solutions that help organizations make informed decisions.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.


• Proven hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data processing and analytics.


• Advanced Python skills for data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning.


• Strong SQL skills for querying, data preparation, transformation, and optimization.


• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining dashboards using Power BI.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and reliability.


• Build and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to generate insights and forecasts.


• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to communicate insights to business leaders and stakeholders.


• Use Google Cloud Platform services to manage and optimize data pipelines and analytical solutions.


• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and transform large datasets.

• Translate business challenges into practical data science approaches and deliver actionable recommendations.
