BairesDev is seeking a Data Engineer (dbt) to design and optimize data transformation workflows across cloud data warehouses. You will build modular data models using star and snowflake schemas and write high-performance SQL.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders to enforce data quality, apply software engineering practices, and ensure data reliability, freshness, and scalability for global projects, with 100% remote work and competitive USD-based compensation.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise with dbt (Core or Cloud).
• Advanced SQL skills for complex query development.
• Experience with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift.
• Advanced English.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust data transformation workflows using dbt to process large-scale datasets.
• Develop and optimize modular data models using star and snowflake schemas to support complex analytical requirements.
• Write and tune advanced SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing and leverage cloud data warehouse capabilities.
• Apply software engineering best practices to the analytics workflow, including version control and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data quality standards and implement automated tests within the transformation layer.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance to ensure data reliability, freshness, and scalability across the organization.

What we are looking for:

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in building and optimizing data transformations using dbt (Core or Cloud).
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex query development and performance tuning.
• Strong experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
