ScotiaTech in Bogotá seeks a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines with Databricks, and manage SQL/NoSQL databases for reliable data delivery.

You will collaborate with operations and infra teams, implement automation, monitor data infrastructure, and support agile projects with a focus on quality and performance.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience as Data Engineer.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Azure Cloud.
• Experience building data pipelines with Databricks.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Databricks.
• Manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) incl PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Automate and monitor data infrastructure (Cloud Logging, Airflow).
• Apply agile methodologies for project management and delivery.
• Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams.
• Troubleshoot and fix system errors.
• Respond to incidents efficiently.

What will you do as a Data Engineer?

• Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines using tools like Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL, and NoSQL, e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools to ensure data infrastructure performance (e.g. Cloud Logging, Apache Airflow).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies for project management and delivery.
• Excellent collaboration skills with operational and infrastructure teams.
• Attention to detail to troubleshoot and fix system errors.
• Time management skills to respond to incidents efficiently.
