SOFTGIC in Medellin, Colombia seeks a technically strong Data Analyst to join our Compliance team. You will work with raw and complex datasets, investigate data quality issues, apply statistical reasoning, and deliver reliable, actionable insights that support business decisions.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis over reporting, uses SQL and Python (or R), and requires collaboration with engineers and stakeholders to improve data collection processes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 2+ years of data analysis experience beyond reporting.
• 2+ years writing SQL queries against relational databases.
• 1+ year using Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with raw/unstructured data and documenting transformation logic.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with statistics including hypothesis testing and correlations.
• Strong analytical thinking and stakeholder collaboration.
• Professional English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate complex business problems and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and anomalies.
• Assess data quality, identify inconsistencies, and document transformations.
