Job summary

STgenetics is seeking a D365 F&O BYOD Developer to design, develop, configure, and support DMF exports and BYOD integrations. You will work with Azure SQL schemas, delta processing, ETL, and load data into reporting tables.

The role focuses on X++ development, custom entities, and DMF export projects. Strong SQL, DMF, and BYOD experience required; remote Colombia-based work with a permanent employment contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain D365 F&O Data Entities for BYOD export and reporting.

• Develop X++ extensions, staging tables, custom entities and DMF components.
• Create stored procedures for delta processing, validation, and ETL loading.
• Support Azure SQL BYOD databases, schemas, indexing and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot BYOD export failures, schema changes and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with Finance, Reporting and Data teams on data structures.
• Use Azure DevOps for work items, source control, release coordination.
• Implement and support Azure SQL Elastic Jobs for recurring processing.
• Maintain documentation for entities, mappings, exports, dependencies.

Job description

The D365 F&O BYOD Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Data Entities and Bring Your Own Database (BYOD) integrations. This role focuses on Data Management Framework (DMF) exports, custom X++ development, Azure SQL BYOD schema support, SQL-based delta processing, validation, ETL processes, and reliable data loading into reporting and fact tables.

• Location: Colombia, South America.
• Work Type: Remote (Colombia-based candidates only).
• Employment Type: Permanent.
• Probation Period: 2 months.
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST.
• Some flexibility to work across time zones
• Holiday Scheudle: To be agreed
• Salary: COP 11-13 million per month, adjustable based on assessment and experience, plus benefits package.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Reporting, Data, and Technical teams to ensure accurate, secure, and timely integration of D365 financial and operational data into downstream reporting platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain D365 F&O Data Entities for BYOD export and downstream reporting consumption.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot DMF export projects, recurring data jobs, entity refreshes, and scheduled BYOD exports.
• Develop X++ extensions, staging tables, custom entities, entity extensions, and supporting D365 technical components.
• Develop and maintain SQL stored procedures for delta processing, data validation, transformation logic, ETL orchestration, and loading into reporting or fact tables.
• Support Azure SQL BYOD databases, schemas, indexes, performance tuning, export destinations, and integration points with reporting platforms.
• Troubleshoot BYOD export failures, schema changes, data quality issues, missing records, failed batches, and D365-to-SQL synchronization problems.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Reporting, and Data teams to understand D365 financial data structures and deliver reliable, reporting-ready datasets.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for work item tracking, source control, release coordination, deployment support, and environment documentation.
• Implement and support Azure SQL Elastic Jobs or equivalent scheduling solutions for recurring SQL processing, validation, and post-export automation.
• Maintain technical documentation for entities, mappings, export jobs, stored procedures, dependencies, and operational support procedures.
• Follow established development standards, security requirements, and best practices to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Finance Systems, or a related technical field from an accredited institution. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex D365 F&O, DMF, BYOD, Azure SQL, and reporting data issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, finance users, and external implementation partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly document technical designs, support procedures, and integration logic.
• English: Advanced (C1), able to communicate effectively across diverse business contexts, contribute to complex discussions,
  defend ideas, influence decisions, and produce clear business communication

Experience

• Three (3) to five (5) or more years of technical development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Hands-on experience with D365 F&O, X++, Data Entities, Data Management Framework (DMF), BYOD exports, and recurring data jobs.
• Strong experience with Azure SQL, SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, ETL processes, data validation, and reporting or fact-table loading.
• Experience supporting D365 financial data models, financial reporting datasets, or finance-related transactional and master data entities.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for source control, backlog management, deployment coordination, and technical documentation.
• Experience with Azure SQL Elastic Jobs, SQL Agent-style scheduling, or similar job orchestration tools preferred.
• Experience with Azure Analysis Services, Azure Data Factory, or other data integration platforms is a plus.
• Knowledge of C#, Java, Python, or C++ is considered an asset.
