United States Digital Space LLC in Bogotá, Colombia seeks a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance Team. This role provides second-line oversight, translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance and governance-ready documentation across consumer finance and payments.

You will conduct reviews, manage issues, support product and vendor compliance, and help strengthen controls while fostering a culture of integrity in a fast-moving fintech environment.

Formación

  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements for consumer financial products (e.g., BSA/AML, OFAC).
  • Experience in compliance operations/advisory, risk management, quality assurance, or control/oversight activities.
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to produce clear memos and evidence packages.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple workstreams.
  • Analytical thinker with sound judgment and proactive risk mitigation.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide compliance advisory support to business partners on consumer finance and payments requirements; document guidance, decisions, and follow-ups.
  • Support Compliance Operations, Advisory, and Financial Crimes Compliance work using defined workflows and evidence standards.
  • Perform second-line oversight reviews of complaint handling for higher-risk channels and contribute to trend/root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain issue/action logs, validate remediation plans and evidence, and monitor aging to closure.
  • Participate in change management oversight by reviewing initiatives for compliance impacts and approvals.
  • Conduct pre-use compliance reviews of marketing and customer communications; document disclosures and risks.
  • Assist with product development compliance assessments for new products and material initiatives.
  • Support third-party compliance activities for customer-facing vendors; due diligence and monitoring.
  • Support Financial Crimes Compliance operations, including BSA/AML monitoring and SAR processes.
  • Assist with sanctions/OFAC screening and watchlist management, including disposition and escalation of matches.
  • Support CIP and CDD/EDD activities, including identity verification exceptions and remediation.
  • Prepare SAR narratives and governance-ready summaries for leadership and reporting.
  • Advise business partners on financial crimes requirements and control expectations for products.
  • Support regulatory responses and information requests, including FinCEN inquiries.
  • Prepare clear memos and governance-ready summaries for internal and external reviews.
  • Assist in gathering information for regulatory examinations or audits.

About the role:

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Compliance Analyst to support the company’s Compliance Team. This role provides second‑line oversight and day‑to‑day advisory support across a wide range of business activities by translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance, executing operational compliance reviews, and producing governance‑ready documentation and reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and supporting the development of internal policies, standards and procedures, while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide compliance advisory support to business partners on consumer finance and payments requirements; document guidance, decisions, and follow‑ups.
  • Support the intake, tracking, and completion of Compliance Operations, Advisory, and Financial Crimes Compliance work (advisory requests, reviews, alerts/cases, and actions) using defined workflows and evidence standards.
  • Perform second‑line oversight reviews of complaint handling for higher‑risk channels (e.g., CFPB, BBB, and executive escalations) and contribute to complaint trend and root‑cause analysis.
  • Support issues management governance by maintaining issue/action logs, validating remediation plans and evidence, and monitoring aging to closure.
  • Participate in change management oversight by reviewing initiatives for compliance impacts, control readiness, and required approvals/escalations.
  • Conduct pre‑use compliance reviews of marketing and customer communications; identify required disclosures and risks (e.g., UDAAP, fair lending) and document results.
  • Assist with product development compliance assessments for new products and material initiatives; coordinate inputs, maintain risk/control documentation, and track conditions for launch.
  • Support third‑party compliance activities for customer‑facing vendors (e.g., due diligence documentation support, contract requirement tracking, ongoing monitoring).
  • Support Financial Crimes Compliance operations, including BSA/AML transaction monitoring, alert and case review, and disposition consistent with established procedures.
  • Assist with sanctions/OFAC screening and watchlist management, including reviewing potential matches, documenting dispositions, and escalating true or probable matches.
  • Support Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence/Enhanced Due Diligence (CDD/EDD) activities, including identity‑verification exceptions, remediation of identity defects, and program control testing.
  • Assist in the preparation, documentation, and quality review of Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) narratives and supporting evidence, coordinating with investigators and escalating as appropriate.
  • Advise business, product, and operations partners on financial crimes requirements and control expectations for new and existing products, and document guidance and decisions.
  • Support responses to subpoenas and regulatory information requests, including FinCEN Section 314(a) inquiries.
  • Prepare clear written memos and governance‑ready summaries (metrics, themes, escalations) for leadership and partner reporting.
  • Assist in gathering and delivering relevant information for internal and external regulatory reviews, examinations, audits, or other supervisory events.
  • Support additional compliance‑related initiatives and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, laws, and compliance requirements applicable to consumer financial products and services, including financial crimes requirements (BSA/AML, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC/sanctions).
  • Experience in compliance operations/advisory, risk management, quality assurance, or other control/oversight activities (planning, documentation, analysis, and reporting).
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear documentation, memos, and evidence packages.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively across multiple workstreams.
  • Analytical thinker with sound judgment and a proactive mindset; able to recommend practical solutions that mitigate risk and strengthen controls.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and provide effective challenge and recommend practical solutions to mitigate risk and enhance controls.
  • High integrity, sound ethical judgment, and comfort escalating concerns when needed.
  • Working knowledge of Financial Crimes Compliance operations - transaction monitoring, alert/case management, sanctions screening, CIP/CDD, and SAR processes - or a demonstrated ability to learn them quickly.
  • Comfort working with high‑volume data and structured review workflows.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast‑moving environment.
Education & Experience
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, business administration, legal studies, information systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in consumer finance, fintech, banking, or another regulated environment preferred.
  • Financial industry compliance related certifications a plus (e.g. CAMS)
  • Experience supporting complaint management oversight, issues management, change management, marketing review, product compliance assessments, financial crimes compliance (BSA/AML, sanctions, CIP/CDD, and SAR support), or third‑party oversight is highly desirable.
