Sezzle is seeking a Chargeback Operations Analyst to join a fast-paced fintech environment. You will analyze and respond to card and ACH disputes, working with fraud/risk and disputes teams to determine the best course of action and help customers get unstuck.

We look for a Bachelor's degree, 1+ year in chargebacks or fraud investigations, strong data analysis, attention to detail and clear communication. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, CST hours.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and take suitable action to resolve disputes within deadlines.
• Collaborate with fraud and disputes teams to determine next steps on a case-by-case basis.
• Analyze data and identify patterns or trends to improve processes.
• Understand systems and tools to investigate account patterns.
• Work with cross-functional teams to improve loss prevention mechanisms and tools.
• Maintain SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases and minimize losses.
• Handle escalations professionally.

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Chargeback Operations Analyst who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

As a Chargeback Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and responding to card and ACH disputes filed against Sezzle. Working closely with our fraud/risk team and our customer disputes team, you will navigate issues on a case by case basis to determine the best course of action to help our customers get unstuck. Analysts will also make recommendations to our Chargeback Manager on how to improve and scale our processes. We are looking for a teammate who can work full-time Monday through Friday between 9:00 am - 5:30 pm CST.

What You'll Do:

• Investigate disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions and take suitable action to resolve those disputes within the allowed timeframes.
• Work cross functionally with relevant departments (fraud, disputes) to determine next steps on a case to case basis.
• Investigate individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to identify patterns or trends.
• Understand our systems and tools; investigate account patterns through data analysis.
• Collaborate with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists and engineering to improve our loss prevention mechanisms, processes and tools.
• Learn and maintain strong domain knowledge of the world of fraud including prevention techniques and technologies.
• Maintain or exceed established service level agreements (SLAs) for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize potential losses.
• Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.
  
  

What We Look For:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

• Experienced in analyzing data and comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in processing chargebacks or fraud claims or live transactions against fraudulent activity in e-commerce, banking, fintech or financial institutions is a plus
• Ideal candidate will be available to start within two weeks following an offer
