Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Business R&D Experienced Professional to join the CDSe Domain Expert within the Common Design System team.

You will contribute to the development and enhancement of the distribution and dry transformers design platform, ensuring quality and timely delivery across factories worldwide. This high-impact role offers collaboration with multicultural teams, exposure to cutting-edge transformer technology, and opportunities to drive standards while mentoring end users

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of related experience in PGTR (preferably in GPG DT).
• Strong knowledge of transformer design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with transformers for special applications (BESS, renewables, rectifiers).
• Experience preparing technical documentation including drawings (AutoCAD).
• Understanding of software development process and Agile framework.
• Proactive, self-motivated with strong ownership.
• Good English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support CDSe platform development and maintenance for Distribution Transformers.
• Lead development and implementation of transformers for special applications.
• Prepare software specifications and verify features with developers.
• Provide training and support to factories and end users.
• Deliver test cases and lead tests with end users.
• Test and validate design platform for accuracy.
• Monitor user feedback to improve platform performance.
• Collaborate with hub engineering to speed CDS implementation in factories.
• Be part of a multicultural CDS community and propose innovative solutions.
