• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related technical discipline or AutoCAD/Revit cert/diploma.
• 3–5 years CAD drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience in wireless telecom drafting or related infrastructure design.
• Ability to interpret engineering specs and translate into drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

PURPOSE:

The CAD Technician supports the development of technical drawings and design documents for telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for creating accurate 2D and 3D CAD, Revit drawings for wireless communication sites, including tower structures, rooftop installations, equipment layouts, and related architectural and civil details.

Working under the guidance of senior technicians, project managers and engineers, the CAD Technician contributes to drafting efforts, maintains drawing accuracy, and helps ensure consistent documentation across projects. This position is ideal for someone who is developing their technical skills, eager to grow in the telecommunications design field, and ready to support multiple project teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

FUNCTIONS :

• CAD Production & Design
• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and schematics for telecommunications projects using CAD software.
• Modify and update existing drawings to correct errors, incorporate design changes, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Develop and maintain standard CAD elements including templates, title blocks, blocks, and detailed drafting components.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior designers to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
• Participate in project coordination activities, helping ensure drafting deliverables align with timelines and quality expectations.
• Quality & Compliance
• Perform basic QA/QC reviews to verify drawing accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and industry drafting standards.
• Ensure all design documentation complies with applicable codes, permitting requirements, and engineering standards.
• Follow all company, federal, state, and local safety requirements when performing office or field-related tasks.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Assist in drafting technical specifications, drawing notes, and reference materials as needed to support project documentation.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project files in accordance with internal procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Education & Credentials
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related technical discipline; OR a technical degree/certification in AutoCAD and/or Revit with equivalent professional experience.
• Industry and Functional Experience
• Experience in wireless telecommunications drafting or related infrastructure design.
• Familiarity with construction practices, engineering workflows, and design documentation standards.
• Ability to support multiple projects, manage deliverables, and work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Technical Expertise
• 3–5 years of CAD drafting experience with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Working knowledge of Revit for 2D/3D design and modeling.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop to create basic photo simulations for visual presentations.
• Ability to interpret engineering or architectural specifications and convert them into accurate technical drawings.

Preferred

• Experience with wireless telecommunications or broadcast tower design documentation. Proficiency in Revit for architectural and structural modeling.
• Knowledge of fiber optic network design, routing, splicing and connectivity planning.
• Familiarity with civil or structural engineering principles as applied to telecom infrastructure.
• Experience working with permitting agencies, or regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge of GIS or mapping software tools.
• Prior experience in a consulting, architectural, or engineering firm environment.
• Experience with drone-based site surveys, LiDAR, or photogrammetry.
• Exposure to international telecom standards or projects, especially in Latin America and Europe.
• Proficiency in English, Italian or French
