Bluelight is a leading software consultancy expanding across the Americas. We design and build data-driven applications that empower clients to turn insights into actions. This role sits in Colombia and focuses on robust data pipelines and scalable analytics.

As an ETL Data Engineer, you will develop PySpark-based ETL processes in Azure Synapse, optimize data warehouses, and collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver reliable data for decision making.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent practical experience; Azure Data Engineer cert is a plus.
• Proven ETL experience using Python (PySpark) to extract from REST APIs, SQL DBs and CSVs.
• Experience with Azure Synapse resources: Notebooks, Pipelines, Linked Services, Key Vault.
• Strong SQL skills (SparkSQL and MS SQL) with data integration best practices and Git version control.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using PySpark in Azure Synapse.
• Design data warehouses with star schemas, facts and dimensions.
• Extract data from REST APIs, SQL tables and CSV files.
• Optimize notebooks/pipelines for scalability and performance.
• Ensure data quality checks and monitoring of ETL jobs.
• Document data flows, transformations, and governance practices.
