Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Trinidad, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, service customers, and develop team members. You’ll assist with daily functions, merchandising, and opening/closing duties while ensuring safety and policy adherence.

You will help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates, maintain a clean, well-stocked store, and protect assets. The role emphasizes strong communication and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle payroll/scheduling/cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked bathrooms, floors swept/mopped, trash removed.
• Other duties as assigned.
