The Sunshine House is seeking a Childcare Assistant Director in Columbia, SC to help manage daily operations, ensure licensing compliance, and support teachers and families in delivering high-quality early education. This role emphasizes leadership, family collaboration, and adherence to state policies.

We value a degree in early childhood education, at least one year of management experience in licensed childcare, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year management experience in licensed childcare.
• Degree in early childhood education or related field preferred.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• At least 21 years old.
• A passion for providing high-quality care and education.

Responsibilities

• Help manage the daily operations of childcare school, ensuring licensing requirements and policies are met.
• Perform administrative duties, give tours to families, maintain records, and ensure policy compliance.
• Partner with families to provide the best care and education for children.
• Support teachers in implementing curriculum and developmentally appropriate classrooms.
• Nurture positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing representatives, and the community.
• Work in the classroom when needed to assist and support staff.
