Halliburton seeks an entry-level candidate for the laboratory-focused role in Colombia. Under supervision, you will train on chemical hygiene, safety standards, and perform prototype or lab tests on fluids and materials using basic electrical, chemical, and mechanical equipment.

You will document data and maintain test records as part of the development and quality assurance processes. The position requires at least 1 year in service industries for oil, with intermediate English.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year experience in service companies for the oil industry, in chemical or fluids laboratories, performing tests, analyses and physicochemical characterizations in drilling fluids.
• English level: Intermediate.
• Technical or Technologist degree in Chemistry, Petroleum Technologies, or related fields.

Responsabilidades

• Trains and becomes familiar with chemical hygiene plan and current HSE laboratory safety standards.
• Performs prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures.
• Learns to build equipment and perform basic material or environmental tests using basic electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment.
• Learns to document test data for reporting purposes.

Job Duties

Under direct supervision, trains and becomes familiar with the chemical hygiene plan and the current HSE laboratory safety standards. Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties. Performs duties to conduct prototype or laboratory tests following prescribed procedures. Learns to build equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment. Learns to document test data for reporting purposes. Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment. Job tasks, correctly performed, have minimal impact upon the viability of the organization.

Qualifications

Técnico o Tecnólogo en Química, Tecnología en Petróleos, o carreras afines.

Experiencia Mínimo un (1) año en empresas de servicios para la industria, en laboratorios químicos o de fluidos, realizando pruebas, análisis y caracterizaciones químicas y fisicoquímicas en fluidos de perforación.

Nivel de inglés Intermedio
