WeWork in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking an Accounting Senior Associate to join the LatAm Accounting team. You will participate in the regional month-end close, review local statements for Colombia and Peru, and analyze variances to provide clear management commentary.

• Qualified Accountant with active professional card in Colombia.
• 3+ years accounting experience, preferably in multinationals or Big 4.
• Strong understanding of Local GAAP (Colombia & Peru) and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex reconciliations and data modeling.
• Familiarity with ERPs; Workday is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate with external accounting outsourcers.
• Intermediate English.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in the regional Latin America month-end close process for timely and accurate reporting.
• Review and consolidate local financial statements for Colombia and Peru, aligning Local GAAP and US GAAP.
• Perform MoM variance analyses and provide management commentary on key drivers.
• Conduct monthly P&L variance analysis and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Act as primary liaison for external accounting outsourcers in Colombia and Peru.
• Support variable rent calculations and ensure accounting and contract compliance.
• Assist with internal and external audits and prepare working papers as needed.
• Oversee expense accounting processes and review AP/AR sub-ledgers for assigned entities.

In this role, you will: * Latin America Month-End Close Support: Participate actively in the regional month-end close process for Latin America entities, ensuring timely execution and reporting accuracy.* Financial Statement Review & Consolidation: Review, analyze, and support the consolidation of local financial statements for Colombia and Peru, ensuring alignment between Local GAAP and US GAAP.* Variance Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed Month-over-Month (MoM) expense and balance sheet variance analyses, providing thorough management commentary on key drivers.* P&L Variance Analysis: Perform a comprehensive monthly review and analysis of the overall P&L, identifying trends, investigating unexpected fluctuations, and partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve anomalies* Outsourcing Management: Act as the primary contact and bridge for external accounting outsourcers in Colombia and Peru, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.* Variable Rent Calculations & Compliance: Support the calculation of variable rent (waterfall calculations) for Landlords under alternative leasing operations and ensure full accounting and contractual compliance.* Audit & Compliance Support: Support internal and external audit requests (Revisoría Fiscal, Statutory Audits) and prepare working papers for any required corrections or explanations.* Expense Accounting & AP AR Oversight: Support corporate expense accounting processes (accruals, prepayments) and review AP/AR sub-ledgers across assigned entities. **About You** Does the below sound like you?
