Bechtel is seeking a Senior Electrical Specialist Engineer in Santiago to lead electrical engineering for complex EPC/EPCM projects. You will plan, develop, coordinate, and review electrical activities focusing on HV/MV transmission lines, substations, and protection systems, guiding a multidisciplinary team and subcontractors.
You will ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards, while collaborating with clients, utilities, suppliers, and construction teams to deliver
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with HV transmission lines and HV/MV substations, including subcontractor supervision.
- Strong knowledge of power system design, protective relaying, and grounding.
- Experience with IEC/IEEE standards and Chilean regulations.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
Responsabilités
- Coordinate and review electrical engineering deliverables for project execution.
- Review studies: load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination.
- Prepare and review technical documentation (specs, data sheets, TBEs).
- Review HV/MV substations and transmission lines design and equipment.
- Coordinate activities with disciplines, clients, utilities, and subcontractors.
- Provide technical leadership and solve complex engineering issues.
- Supervise engineering subcontractors and monitor progress.
