Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to build robust ETL/ELT pipelines and shape the semantic layer with well‑designed data models.

You will develop and maintain Power BI reports, implement data quality frameworks, and own the BI lifecycle from data sources to dashboards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT (Delta Lake, PySpark, pandas, REST APIs).
• Experience with data modeling (Star/Snowflake) and semantic layer design in Power BI/Fabric.
• Experience with Power BI and DAX.
• Advanced SQL skills (SQL Server or similar).
• Experience with CI/CD for BI (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
• Background in data quality and validation frameworks.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Senior BI Engineer at BairesDev

In this role, you'll build ETL/ELT pipelines in Python that feed well‑structured data models, powering the semantic layer behind meaningful business intelligence. Working across data modeling and Power BI, you'll ensure that KPIs and metrics reflect the underlying data accurately, from pipeline to dashboard. What You'll Do

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in BI or data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT, including Delta Lake, PySpark, pandas, and REST API integrations.
• Experience with data modeling, including Star/Snowflake schemas and semantic layer design in Power BI/Fabric.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Strong DAX skills, including complex measures, KPIs, and calculated columns.
• Advanced SQL skills with SQL Server or similar platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD for BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Background building data quality and validation frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Experience with Power Query (M) transformations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, including Direct Lake and Lakehouse architecture.
