BairesDev in Chile is hiring Senior AI Software Engineer to build production software interfacing with LLM providers using Java and Python. You will lead AI-driven initiatives and own code quality across the lifecycle.

You will design agentic systems with tool use, function calling, and structured outputs, while collaborating with backend, platform, and UI teams in a fully remote setup.

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Deep expertise in agentic system design, including tool use, agent loops, function calling, structured outputs, and reasoning models.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integrations.
• Comfort with AI-assisted coding as part of the daily workflow.
• Experience with MCP or AI agent orchestration frameworks.
• Background working with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or Bedrock; Anthropic experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

In this role, you'll build production software that connects to LLM providers and platforms, applying strong Java and Python engineering to agentic AI systems. Leading internal AI-driven initiatives, you'll leverage AI coding agents to move faster while keeping full ownership of code quality and reliability.
