United Nations in Santiago, Chile is seeking a Research Assistant (GS-4) within the Agricultural Development Unit of the DPPM. The successful candidate will be embedded in the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and will support research, data gathering and policy-oriented tasks under supervision.

The role is a temporary opportunity, located at the Santiago duty station, reporting to the Chief of the ADU.

• Reports to the Chief of the Agricultural Development Unit (ADU) within the Division of Production, Productivity and Management (DPPM).
• Supports research and duties appropriate for a Research Assistant position in the unit.

This position is located in the Agricultural Development Unit (ADU) of the Division of Production, Productivity and Management (DPPM). The Research Assistant reports to the Chief of the Unit. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is one of the five regional Commissions of the United Nations. It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. Its mission includes the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies and the provision of advisory services, expertise and training to Governments, as well as support for regional and international cooperation and coordination activities.
