BairesDev is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to drive the modernization of legacy monoliths into scalable microservices. You will design modular architectures using .NET/C# or Java and build robust RESTful APIs that enable seamless service communication.

You will lead the decomposition of aging codebases, ensure data integrity, and push forward CI/CD adoption while collaborating with global teams. This fully remote role offers competitive USD compensation and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Backend Engineering or related role.
• Proven expertise in modernizing legacy monolithic applications into microservices.
• Strong proficiency in either .NET/C# or Java ecosystems, including refactoring older codebases.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD adoption and automated pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement transition from monolithic architectures to modular microservices using .NET or Java.
• Lead the decomposition of legacy codebases while ensuring system stability and data integrity.
• Develop and optimize robust RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between services.
• Apply advanced refactoring techniques to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.
