We offer a year‑long New Grad RN Nurse Residency program for newly licensed RNs who are within the first six months of their professional RN practice. Up to $30,000 sign‑on bonus (pay as you go), tuition reimbursement, generous pay and benefits package.

Our goal is to provide you with the tools needed to help you on your journey to exceptional bedside care. The Baptist Health System New Grad RN Residency program will provide orientation to your hospital and selected area of practice. You will achieve competency in many areas of nursing practice including acute‑care regulatory requirements, interpersonal and critical thinking skills and the technical proficiency required for your chosen clinical area.

About the Program

The program is structured to support new nurse cohort bonding with your peers. You will participate in online as well as classroom learning, meet and interact with your team members, fellow nurses, administration, nursing and physician leaders. Your program includes an assigned nurse preceptor who will work with you beginning at orientation and throughout your program. You will be supported with ongoing training and will have opportunities for networking and social activities during the year.

Summary

The Registered Nurse / RN provides direct clinical patient care.
The Registered Nurse / RN will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
The Registered Nurse / RN is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
The Registered Nurse / RN is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) upon hire or obtained within 30 days of employment
• Other Certifications may be required during employment
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse License in the State
