Job summary

Amazon Deutschland Transport GmbH is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to ensure safety, compliance, availability, and positive customer sentiment for the fleet across Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. You will drive the regional strategy, implement best practices, and work with cross-functional teams to support fleet initiatives and product launches.

The role requires driving 30-40% travel within the region and occasional travel across Europe.

Qualifications

• Fluent in German (spoken, written and reading).
• Fluent in English (spoken, written and reading).
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, project management, operations, logistics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles within the region are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations and Amazon Standards by performing audits and collating regional feedback with Fleet Compliance and Product teams.
• Execute existing fleet initiatives and new product launches; support delivery partners by building mechanisms to manage their fleet.
• Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to solve complex operational needs; manage escalations and influence stakeholders.
• Manage vehicle operational readiness and cosmetic standards across the region by analyzing data from fleet management sources to secure customer experience.
• This role will be based in one of our delivery stations or offices and requires travel of 30-40% across the assigned region; occasional travel across Europe.

We are looking for a Fleet Operations Manager who is responsible for the safety, compliance, availability, and customer sentiment of the Fleet in their respective region of Germany, Austria and Netherlands.
To be successful in this role, this person will need to execute the business strategy and understand where to Invent and simplify solutions for the best outcome. This person will implement use of best practices and play a key role within the larger fleet organization across Europe.
Key job responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles within the region are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations and Amazon Standards by performing audits and collating regional feedback through partnership with Fleet Compliance and Product teams.
• The Fleet Operations Manager will execute existing fleet initiatives and new product launches and will support and engage with delivery partners by building mechanisms to help manage their fleet.
• Influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, in order to solve complex operational needs. The role requires the ability to manage escalations and influence stakeholders.
• Manage vehicle operational readiness and cosmetic standards across the region, through collecting and analyzing data from different fleet management sources to secure customer experience.
• This role will be based in one of our delivery stations or offices, and requires ability to travel 30-40% of time across the assigned region.
  

Occasional travel across Europe will be required.
About The Team
Amazon Logistics, or AMZL, handles 'last mile' delivery duties in partnership with third-party distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers' delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.

Basic Qualifications

• Speak, write, and read fluently in German
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, project management, operations, logistics, supply chain or related field
• Experience handling multiple competing priorities and complex projects with multiple stakeholders (e.g. definition of accurate network expansion plans, vendor development, quality assurance, design and cost improvement, team and stakeholder engagement)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, or transportation or equivalent professional or military experience
