GM Financial is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support supply chain and procurement activities, including contract management, sourcing, and vendor relationships. The role collaborates with partners to ensure timely, cost-effective solutions.

You will help with category management, process development, and operations such as invoicing and procurement systems. A background in procurement and experience negotiating with vendors are valued.

Formación

  • 2–4 years background in procurement.
  • Experience negotiating with vendors.
  • Familiarity with Oracle or other procurement software.
  • High-school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work in an AI-enabled environment.

Position Overview

The Procurement Analyst supports supply chain and procurement activities by assisting with contract management, sourcing, vendor relationships, category management, and procurement operations. This role works closely with business partners and suppliers to ensure timely, cost‑effective solutions, improve processes, mitigate risk, and support the efficient delivery of goods and services while contributing to organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Contract Management – manage contracts with vendors, negotiate terms and conditions, document changes, and maximize financial and operational performance while minimizing risk.
  • Sourcing – find, evaluate, and engage suppliers, define business needs, conduct market analysis, and develop sourcing strategy.
  • Category Management – segment spending into categories, track market trends and regulatory changes, and identify consolidation opportunities.
  • Vendor Management – maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders, reduce vendor risks, ensure service delivery, and negotiate better rates.
  • Process Development – draft and design processes to meet quality, cost, and timeliness requirements.
  • Operations – coordinate all activities required to obtain goods and services, including travel, company vehicles, telecom, invoicing, credit card administration, procurement business systems, and corporate events.
Qualifications
  • Awareness of supply chain management processes in an assigned area.
  • Awareness of financial indicators and ability to perform sound economic analysis.
  • Strategic contribution to broader organizational needs and goals.
  • Capability to take on increased responsibility and demonstrate leadership tendencies.
  • Promotion of ethical procurement practices and continuous process improvement.
  • Support category leads with data and contract information on an ad‑hoc basis.
  • Assist with operational service and support when needed.
  • Schedule and execute daily tasks to provide high‑quality service within timelines.
  • Active participation in procurement operations projects and initiatives focused on process improvement.
  • Develop supplier relationships to facilitate resolution of issues using basic performance management techniques.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills.
  • Self‑motivation and awareness of the implications of actions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Knowledge and Skills
  • Working effectively within an AI‑enabled environment.
  • Use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to support daily work.
  • Evaluation of AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
  • Integration of AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.
Work Experience & Education
  • 2–4 years background in procurement; experience negotiating with vendors; Oracle or other procurement software experience required.
  • High‑school diploma required.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related business field.
  • Preferred: master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
