Summary

The Physical Therapy Supervisor is responsible for the administration, interpretation, and evaluation of tests and measurements. Plans and modifies treatment programs. Assists Rehab Manager with coordination of PT, OT, and SLP operations, including performing treatments within the professional's respective Practice Act, as prescribed by a referring physician. Maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI (continuous quality improvement) activities. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Preferred Education

• Master's Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Prefer 3 years as clinician in a comparable facility.
• Prefer 2 years supervisory experience and/or demonstrated proficiency in those skills needed for supervisory functions.

Required Certifications / Licensure

Possession of current Texas State license.

Preferred Certifications / Licensure

Clinical Instructor Certification as applicable.

Required Courses / Completions (e.g., CPR)

Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
