Wesco Chile is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead the operations of the southern warehouses, ensuring safety, quality and service standards. You will supervise inbound/outbound movements, register and control inventories, and drive improvements in space utilization and process design.

You will develop dashboards and reports to support decisions, coordinate logistics providers, and build capable teams focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years leading warehouse or distribution operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. This position may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Receives, inspects, and stocks inbound products.
  • Receives returns, counts and confirms quantities, determines condition and completes paperwork.
  • Obtains orders and selects products from the proper locations.
  • Verifies accuracy of orders picked.
  • Stages and securely packs products.
  • Arranges for pick-up of shipments, contacts carriers and coordinates schedule.
  • Handles products and performs duties according to client procedures and government/compliance regulations.
  • Palletizes cases, wraps, and loads skids onto trailers.
  • Creates shipping labels and other paperwork for parcels to maintain accurate shipping data in warehouse management system.
  • Safely operates various power equipment.
  • Responds quickly to customer/client inquiries, resolves problems, and communicates service issues to supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
  • Warehouse experience - Preference
  • Forklift experience - Preferred

Serás responsable de liderar la estrategia operativa de las bodegas bajo tu responsabilidad, garantizando la correcta ejecución de los procesos de recepción, almacenamiento y despacho de materiales.

Asimismo, participarás activamente en proyectos orientados a aumentar la eficiencia operativa, incluyendo la implementación de nuevas operaciones logísticas, el desarrollo de proveedores de transporte, la optimización de inventarios y la generación de información clave para la toma de decisiones del negocio.

En un día normal tendrás que
  • Liderar la operación y administración de las bodegas de la zona sur, asegurando el cumplimiento de los estándares de seguridad, calidad y servicio.
  • Supervisar los movimientos de ingreso y salida de materiales, garantizando el correcto registro y control de inventarios.
  • Monitorear permanentemente la confiabilidad del inventario físico y sistémico, impulsando acciones correctivas cuando sea necesario.
  • Desarrollar iniciativas de optimización de espacios, diseño de layout y mejora de procesos logísticos.
  • Gestionar estrategias para la reducción y recuperación de inventario excedente u obsoleto.
  • Analizar consumos, tiempos de compra y gestión de abastecimiento para identificar oportunidades de ahorro y eficiencia.
  • Realizar auditorías operativas y controles que permitan minimizar riesgos de pérdida, daño o diferencias de inventario.
  • Elaborar indicadores de gestión, tableros de control y reportes para apoyar la toma de decisiones.
  • Coordinar proveedores logísticos y de transporte, asegurando el cumplimiento de los niveles de servicio establecidos.
  • Liderar proyectos de mejora continua y transformación logística en las operaciones de Chile.
  • Garantizar una atención oportuna a clientes internos, contribuyendo al cumplimiento de los objetivos operacionales del negocio.
  • Liderar y desarrollar equipos de trabajo, promoviendo una cultura de colaboración, excelencia operacional y mejora continua
Lo que necesitas para tener éxito
  • Título profesional en Ingeniería, Logística, Administración de Empresas o carreras afines.
  • Experiencia mínima de 5 años liderando operaciones de bodega, centros de distribución o procesos logísticos.
  • Experiencia en gestión de inventarios, abastecimiento, almacenamiento y distribución de materiales.
  • Conocimiento en análisis de procesos, control de inventarios e implementación de mejoras operativas.
  • Manejo avanzado de Microsoft Excel.
  • Conocimiento de Power BI será considerado una ventaja.
  • Capacidad analítica y orientación a la mejora continua.
  • Habilidad para resolver problemas y tomar decisiones en entornos dinámicos.
  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y trabajo colaborativo.

What You Can Expect

This role is responsible for executing strategic and tactical components of monthly S&IOP and IBP (Integrated Business Planning) processes including but not limited to: consensus forecasts, cross-functional assumption alignment, and management review S&IOP presentations; backorder tracking, reporting and resolution; managing the supply change request process; CAPEX inventments; Control E&O,

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Place Purchase orders to Plants in a timely manner and according to parameters set in the system
  • Update planning parameters in the system, such as safety stocks, leadtimes, MBQ, etc.
  • Ellaborate Coverage Policy using criterias like ABC classification, Supply risks and leadtimes.
  • Propose rebalance of inventory among LA countries and also possible excess inventory returns to Manufacturing plants.
  • Monitor Excess and Obsolescence and take corrective and preventive actions to avoid impact in company results.
  • Build and lead supply plan in order to keep healthy coverages level for all products/Franchises.
  • Improve communication to internal areas in order to provide BO and revenue risks.
  • Actively collaborate in the S&IOP cycle, providing a demand and supply plan, inventory projections and possible supply risks and mitigation plans.
  • Align the demand plan with budget considering the sales phasing. Generate predictable forecasts for maximum benefit for resource allocation, capital utilization and investment decisions, including but not limited to: ability to dependably manage inventory and achieve DOH targets, reduce distressed inventory and CAPEX investment.
  • Create list of critical items and follow up properly with Manufacturing in order to avoid risks to Service. Communicate and elevate when needed.
  • Propose and implement inventory and lead time reduction initiatives.
  • Keep Master Data updated based on information provided by departments.
  • In collaboration with Commercial and Marketing teams, execute properly the phase in/phase out of products launchs.
  • Develop and maintain positive, effective relationships with vendors to facilitate timely and accurate processing of orders and delivery of product.
  • Keep tight control over the purchase of instruments and equipments destinated to increase capacity of delivering surgeries . Capex Control.
  • Collaborate in the Capacity Planning process.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Business Administration, Economics)
  • APICS Certification - CPIM or CSCP desirable
