Amazon is seeking a NW Deployment Build Lead I in Santiago to drive end-to-end network infrastructure projects. You will plan, design, validate, and deploy scalable network solutions across data centers, coordinating with engineers, PMs, and vendors to keep initiatives on schedule.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware configuration, documentation, and adherence to safety and change-management practices to ensure reliable delivery and future growth.

Formación

• 2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking experience including troubleshooting and repair.
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience.
• Fluent in English at C1 level or above.

• Develop and maintain documentation including cut sheets, labels, change management procedures, and operational guidelines to support project execution and knowledge sharing.
• Coordinate hardware deployments and upgrades while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and change management procedures.

We are a collaborative network infrastructure group within Global Network Delivery dedicated to expanding and optimizing our technological capabilities. You'll drive the complete lifecycle of network infrastructure projects—from planning through execution—solving complex connectivity challenges that keep our global operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll collaborate across teams to design, validate, and deploy network solutions at scale, ensuring our infrastructure supports continued growth and innovation.

Key job responsibilities

A day in the life

Your focus will be on managing network infrastructure projects that span late binding, recabling, network scaling, and expansion initiatives. You'll spend your time configuring fiber optic connectivity, coordinating hardware deployments across data centers, and troubleshooting interconnectivity issues to keep projects on track. Throughout your day, you'll work with change management systems and ticketing platforms, collaborate with network engineering teams and vendors, and participate in planning sessions to remove roadblocks. You'll validate technical documentation, oversee equipment installations, and engage in cross-functional problem-solving to ensure successful project delivery.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of computer layer 1/2 networking (including troubleshooting and repair) experience
• 2+ years of network cabling, fiber optics, and test equipment including VFL, power meter, and OTDR experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above

Preferred Qualifications

• Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
