Job summary

Albemarle is seeking a Commissioning Manager for the DLE operation at Planta Salar, San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. You will lead the commissioning strategy, execution plan and readiness activities across all project phases, coordinating Engineering, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, HSE and external vendors to ensure a safe and efficient start-up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the specified engineering disciplines.
• At least 10 years in industrial operations, commissioning or related projects.
• Proven leadership of commissioning, pre-commissioning and start-up activities.
• Strong knowledge of process safety, turnover and handover methods.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning strategy, execution plan and systems completion.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and operational readiness activities.
• Establish commissioning standards, acceptance criteria, readiness gates and handover requirements.
• Integrate Engineering, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, HSE and external vendors for safe, efficient start-up.
• Manage system walkdowns, punch list closure, risk reviews and performance metrics.
• Ensure operational teams are prepared through training, documentation transfer and readiness programs.
• Support chemical introduction, system testing, start-up and ramp-up while managing risks.
