Freeport McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer for Electrical HV matters who will plan, coordinate, and monitor multidisciplinary activities to ensure safety, quality, cost and schedule compliance.

The role supports integration of engineering disciplines, consultants, vendors, and contractors to deliver projects. You will maintain project records, prepare documentation, and report progress, risks, and issues.

Formación

• Accredited four-year degree in engineering.
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
• Technical English proficiency for interaction with Spanish/English teams.
• Strong communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate project engineering activities across disciplines, consultants, vendors, and contractors to support integrated designs meeting requirements.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, costs, schedules, and performance against plans.
• Support development and coordination of project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource-hour forecasts.
• Review engineering deliverables and consolidate input for stakeholders.
• Coordinate preparation and delivery of project documentation and bid packages.
• Support communication among project functions to align with safety, quality, and execution objectives.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide timely reporting on progress, risks, and issues.

Description

The Project Engineer for Electrical HV matters, plans, coordinates, and monitors multidisciplinary project activities to ensure compliance with contractual, safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements. The role supports the effective integration of engineering disciplines, consultants, vendors, and contractors, while contributing to the successful delivery of projects and the development of broader project management capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate project engineering activities across technical disciplines, engineering consultants, vendors, licensors, and contractors to support integrated and complete designs that meet project and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project progress, milestones, costs, schedules, and performance against approved plans, identifying and evaluating issues that may affect successful delivery.
• Support the development and coordination of project plans, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, and resource-hour forecasts.
• Review engineering deliverables and consolidate technical input and feedback for engineering consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Coordinate the preparation and delivery of project documentation, design documents, procedures, meeting records, technical communications, and bid packages.
• Support communication and coordination among project functions to ensure alignment with safety, quality, commercial, and execution objectives.
• Maintain accurate project records and provide timely reporting on progress, risks, issues, and assigned activities.

Mandatory Requirements

• Accredited four-year degree, or global equivalent, in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.Professional certification or registration in the applicable engineering field, where required by local regulations.
• Technical knowledge appropriate to the engineering and project management responsibilities of the position.
• Technical English proficiency, with the ability to interact effectively with both Spanish-speaking and English-speaking team members and contractors.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with management, coworkers, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively within project deadlines and priorities.
