Bluelight Consulting, Llc is seeking a Senior Full Stack and Backend NodeJS TypeScript/JavaScript Engineer for remote work across Latin America. You will contribute to building high-quality applications, including scalable APIs and multi-tenant data models, while collaborating with a dynamic team.

The role emphasizes ownership, best practices, and the ability to work across the stack, including frontend work when needed, in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, including advanced features (e.g. RLS).
• Experience with secure multi-tenant architectures.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and migrations with tools like pg-migrate.
• Proficiency in React and frontend integration when needed.
• Strong testing practices including integration tests with real databases.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused)
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations (e.g., node-postgres, node-pg-migrate)
• Professional experience with React
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases and failure-mode/fault-injection testing
• Experience working with AI coding assistants as part of daily development
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed
• Substantial background working with large, complex systems
• Ability to overlap US business hours
• Bachelor's degree required
