Job summary

Teamwork Chile in Antofagasta is seeking a Bilingual Finance Manager to lead Chile finance and administration for a multinational mining services provider. You will report to Group Head of Finance, working with operations, external audit and group finance.

Initially, accounting, payroll, and tax services may be handled by an external firm; over time you will assume these activities with training and handover. The role offers regional exposure and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in finance/administration.
• Hands-on knowledge of Chilean accounting, VAT, SII procedures and DTE.
• Experience working with external accounting and payroll providers is a plus.
• Fluent Spanish with upper-intermediate to advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain transaction records and coordinate invoicing, tax documents, collections, supplier accounts, expenses and petty cash.
• Monitor bank balances in CLP and USD, perform reconciliations, prepare payment schedules and process payments per Group policies.
• Collaborate with audit and consulting firms: submit accounting/payroll inputs, ensure filings/payments are timely, resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly close and group reports; support cash forecasts, budgets and cost reporting.
• Track SII deadlines, handle tax queries with advisors and escalate significant matters.
• Manage corporate documentation, supplier registrations, renewals, and insurance.
• Act as company Legal Representative before SII and banks; handle administrative matters.

Bilingual Finance Manager – Multinational Mining Services Provider

Antofagasta (with local travel) | Full time | Middle management

A multinational mining services provider that is consolidating its team in Chile is looking for a Bilingual Finance Manager to lead its local finance and administration function. You will report to the Group's Head of Finance, who is based overseas.

The challenge

You will own day-to-day finance and back office in Chile, working closely with Operations, an external audit and consulting firm, and Group Finance. At first, the external firm will keep handling accounting, payroll and the agreed tax services. Over time, you will take on those activities step by step, with training and a planned handover.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the transaction records and coordinate invoicing and electronic tax documents (DTE), collections, supplier accounts, expenses and petty cash.
• Monitor bank balances in CLP and USD, do the reconciliations, prepare payment schedules and process payments in line with Group policies.
• Work with the audit and consulting firm: send accounting and payroll inputs, check that filings and payments go out on time, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare the monthly close and reports for the Group, and support cash forecasts, budgets and cost reporting.
• Track SII deadlines and notifications, handle tax queries with the advisors and esca­late significant matters.
• Manage corporate documentation, supplier registrations, renewals and insurance.
• Act as the company's Legal Representative before the SII, banks and in administrative matters.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience. If you are ready for your first management role, we'd like to hear from you too.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Chilean accounting, VAT, SII procedures and DTE.
• Experience working with external accounting and payroll providers is a plus.
• Good Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Fluent Spanish, and upper‑intermediate to advanced written and spoken English.
• Resident in Chile, legally entitled to work, with a valid RUT, and willing to take on the legal representative appointment. Prior experience as a representative is a plus.
