Ausenco is seeking a Senior Estimator Engineer for our Minerals & Metals Business line, based in Belo Horizonte. You will prepare CapEx/OpEx budgets, analyze commercial proposals, and develop unit price compositions while interfacing with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes managing cost estimates for large-scale mining and infrastructure projects and applying FEL or similar methodologies to capital projects in a global engineering setting.

Formación

• Experience in preparing CAPEX/OPEX for large-scale mining, metallurgy, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in preparing budgets for civil and assembly services.
• Analysis and preparation of Budget Difference Indicator (BDI).
• Knowledge of taxation.
• Preparation of unit price compositions (UPCs) including contingency, escalation, and allowances for uncertainties.
• Commercial proposal analysis and evaluations.

Our team in Chile is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Estimator Engineer, Senior to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the Belo Horizonte office.

About the role:

• Responsible for preparing investment estimates (CapEx), operational costs (OpEx), and sustaining costs;
• Managing quotations and analyzing commercial proposals;
• Developing unit price compositions; and serving as the interface with suppliers and other disciplines.

About you:

• Experience in preparing CAPEX/OPEX for large-scale projects in mining, metallurgy, and infrastructure.
• Experience in preparing budgets for civil and assembly services.
• Analysis and preparation of BDI (Budget Difference Indicator).
• Knowledge of taxation.
• Preparation of unit price compositions (UPCs), including definition of contingency, escalation, and allowances for uncertainties.
• Commercial proposal analysis.
• Issuance of commercial evaluations of proposals.
• Knowledge of FEL methodology or similar for capital project development and implementation.
• Experience in preparing economic and financial disbursements for projects.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Best practices in strategic project management.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience with project implementation.
