Zusammenfassung

UNDP in Chile seeks a GIS specialist to update and support the Metropolitan Santiago Regulatory Plan (PRMS). You will generate, manage, and analyze spatial information, develop territorial studies, and provide GIS support for planning instruments and environmental assessments.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience or 2 years with a university degree, with advanced ArcGIS/QGIS skills and strong knowledge of urban planning legislation.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with secondary education, or 2 years with a university degree.
• Geography Engineering (Licentiate) or equivalent; professional certifications may be required.
• Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS and/or QGIS; GIS data processing and digital cartography.
• Experience with territorial planning, urban development, and public sector work.
• Experience with remote work and collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Docs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Aufgaben

• Administer and manage territorial information and GIS databases linked to the PRMS.
• Develop territorial indicators and monitoring systems for urban management.
• Conduct spatial analysis to develop thematic cartography for urban studies.
• Provide technical support for formulation and modification of Territorial Planning Instruments (IPTs).
• Participate in Strategic Environmental Assessment processes.
• Develop spatial models for scenario evaluation and train internal teams on GIS tools.
