Insight Global partners with a leading global fintech client to recruit a Senior Backend Software Engineer. You will design, build, and enhance a payments platform, delivering scalable backend services for onboarding, payments, settlement, FX, and financial transactions.

The role requires hands-on leadership, mentoring, and a drive to modernize systems across production environments while collaborating with product, compliance, and operations teams.

Formación

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Experience with C#/.NET or Java, Go, or other OOP languages and willingness to work in a .NET environment.
• Experience building and supporting production-scale backend systems.
• Payments, fintech, FX, or money movement experience.
• Microservices, event-driven architecture, and system design experience.
• Cloud experience, AWS preferred.
• Daily use of AI development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to modernization initiatives involving cloud infrastructure and platform transformation.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

About the Role

Insight Global's client is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and enhancing the next generation of its payments platform. This individual will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and system design through production deployment and operational support. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with product, compliance, operations, and engineering leaders while developing highly scalable backend services that support payment processing, settlement, onboarding, and financial transactions. The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, driving modernization efforts, mentoring others, and taking ownership of systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and design reviews.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to mid-level engineers.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives involving cloud infrastructure, service-oriented architecture, and platform transformation efforts.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle to improve productivity and code quality.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with AWS services such as SQS, Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, and S3.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-volume transaction processing.
