Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site contract work in Puerto Montt, Chile. This role supports mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities and requires hands-on hardware and cabling expertise.

Key focus areas include server racking, cabling (copper and fiber), cross-connects, fault troubleshooting, and precise documentation. On-call availability and clear communication with NOC and client teams are essential.

Formación

• Experience in data center or IT infrastructure environments.
• Ability to work on-site in Puerto Montt, Chile.
• Flexibility for on-call/emergency work.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
• Rack, stack, and label servers
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
• Document work with photos and detailed notes
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
• Data center or IT infrastructure experience
• Server hardware and networking knowledge
• Reliable and professional with strong communication
• Proximity to local data center facilities
• Flexible schedule for on-call/emergency work

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Puerto Montt, Chile. This is an on-site position supporting mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities.

Compensation

$12500-17500/hr (CLP hourly). Rates vary based on experience level and project complexity. Emergency and after-hours work may qualify for premium rates.
