Job summary

Fluence Energy Chile SpA is seeking a Commissioning Manager to oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and handover activities for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. You will lead commissioning teams, plan resources, and ensure safety, on-time delivery, and quality across multiple installations.

You will collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and customers to resolve technical challenges and to deliver successful project handovers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in commissioning, project execution, engineering, or related technical operations.
• Experience coordinating commissioning, start-up, testing, or project handover activities.
• Experience leading or supervising technical teams, including resource planning, performance management, and employee development.
• Strong understanding of commissioning processes, project schedules, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Establish team responsibilities, reporting structures, and accountability for commissioning activities.
• Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Monitor commissioning progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain commissioning manuals, test procedures, quality plans, and safety documentation.
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate required inspections, approvals, and documentation with customers and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare commissioning progress reports, communicate project status, and elevate issues when necessary.
• Support completion of commissioning activities, customer acceptance documentation, and successful project handover.
• Identify opportunities to improve commissioning processes, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of commissioning personnel.

Job Description

The Commissioning Manager is responsible for overseeing commissioning activities, managing commissioning teams, and ensuring the successful execution of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role supports the continued growth of the Commissioning organization by providing leadership, resource planning, project coordination, and operational oversight across multiple projects.
