Caregiver Opportunity: Compassionate Support for Female Client with Alzheimer's & Dementia

Location: Greater San Antonio Area

Schedule: 12 HR day time shift available; must be willing to rotate weekends

Senior Helpers of Greater San Antonio is currently seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide private duty care for a female client living with Alzheimer's and dementia. We are looking for caregivers who bring patience, understanding, assertiveness, and reliability to ensure safety, dignity, and comfort in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Transferring and positioning of the client
• Support with mobility and safe transfers
• Assist with meals and encourage proper nutrition
• Companionship and conversation
• Monitor cognitive changes and communicate effectively with family/agency staff
• Maintain a structured, calm environment to reduce confusion and anxiety

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Prior experience working with clients with cognitive impairments (Alzheimer's, dementia, or related conditions preferred)
• CPR Certification a plus
• Weekend availability may be required
• Strong interpersonal skills: patient, empathetic, and understanding
• Assertive and dependable in managing care needs
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
