Job summary

Hatch is a global engineering and advisory firm delivering AI-enabled process optimization across mining, energy and infrastructure. We seek a Consultant to lead Hatch’s AI-driven process control practice, focusing on mining and metals operations such as concentrators, smelters and refineries.

The role requires hands-on operational experience, strong data-driven modeling, and the ability to translate technical solutions into measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on operational experience in the mining and metals industry.
• Experience with Level 1/2 process control systems and APC/RTO.
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business value and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to lead site visits, opportunity assessments, and proof-of-value studies.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, proposals, and client workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of Hatch’s AI-driven process control and optimization practice globally, focusing on mining and metals operations.
• Integrate process expertise, analytics, ML/AI, and control theory to deliver scalable digital solutions; establish standards and reusable frameworks.
• Lead end-to-end project delivery; conduct site visits; perform performance assessments; design PoV studies and AI-driven control strategies.
• Collaborate with regional Go-to-Market teams to support pre-sales and client engagements; develop technical papers and thought leadership.
• Advise client leadership on practical use of AI to improve operational performance and value realization.
