Qualifikationen

• Diplomate ACVIM/ECVIM-CA Cardiology or board-eligible.
• Completed veterinary medicine degree from an accredited school.
• Fluent in English or German (German learning a plus).

Aufgaben

• Diagnose and treat cardiology cases for inpatients and outpatients.
• Perform advanced diagnostics such as echocardiography and ECG.
• Communicate with clients and manage cases effectively.
• Collaborate with internal medicine, surgery, and emergency teams.
• Mentor interns and junior veterinarians; train staff.
• Engage with referring veterinarians to develop cardiology referrals.
• Support owners and referral vets with guidance and care.
• Contribute to expansion of the neurology department as needed.

Veterinary Cardiologist (Dipl. ACVIM/ECVIM-CA – Cardiology) (f/m/d) in Thun Switzerland seeks an enthusiastic, board-certified veterinary cardiologist to lead and further develop our cardiology service.

Your tasks:

• Diagnosis and treatment of cardiologic cases (inpatients and outpatients)
• Performing advanced diagnostics (echocardiography, ECG, etc.)
• Client communication and case management
• Collaboration with internal medicine, surgery, and emergency departments
• Mentorship of interns and junior veterinarians
• Building a good relationship with our referring veterinarians, sharing knowledge, and connecting by phone and email to develop the cardiology referral service
• Advice and support for patient owners and referral veterinarians
• Participation in the further training of colleagues and the expansion of the neurology department
