Job summary

The Youth House Association is seeking an educator at the MDJ Home in Lausanne, starting 1 January 2027 or by agreement. You will work 80–90% in a residence for around twenty adolescents aged 15–18 and contribute to their education, wellbeing and autonomy.

Requirements include a HES social educator diploma (SEFRI recognition for foreign diplomas) and several years of residential care experience. A clean criminal record and a driving licence with access to a vehicle are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Holder of a HES social educator diploma or an equivalent qualification (SEFRI recognition mandatory for foreign diplomas).
• Several years of experience in residential care with adolescents.
• Criminal record must be clean due to work with minors.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality individual and group educational follow-up, within the educational programme.
• Carry out tasks during working hours (supervision, meals, room checks, wake-ups).
• Organise and participate in special group activities (camps, outings).
• Ensure rules and cleanliness of living environment.
• Participate in meetings, supervisions and committees.
• Contribute to development and stabilisation of the service.

The Youth House Association has set itself the mission of welcoming, supervising and supporting young people in their difficulties, so that they gain autonomy. The MDJ Home accommodates around twenty adolescents aged 15 to 18 in single rooms.

You are... :

Holder of a HES social educator diploma or an equivalent qualification (SEFRI recognition mandatory for foreign diplomas) and can demonstrate several years of experience in residential care with adolescents. Your experience, calmness and dynamism are important assets. Due to our work with minors, your criminal record must be clean. You hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Working at the MDJ Home as an educator means...

• Ensuring quality individual and group educational follow-up, respecting the educational programme (role of reference and co-reference, oral and written reports on educational work, management of young people’s budgets, ...),
• Carrying out tasks within the working hours (general supervision, participation in meals, room checks, wake-ups, ...)
