SCOR Group in Zurich seeks a passionate finance professional to join the Business Development team, promoting investment products to institutional clients and supporting client relationships across German-speaking markets.

You will collaborate with Paris-based colleagues, service Swiss German clients invested in Insurance Linked Securities, Leveraged Loans and Infrastructure Loans, and contribute to CRM inputs while building new business with prospects.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about financial markets, eager to build a career in institutional sales and business development and motivated to learn from experienced professionals in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

You will join the Business Development team, which is responsible for promoting and marketing investment products to institutional clients (c.20 people). More specifically, you will support the Business Development team in servicing the Swiss German institutional clients invested mainly in Insurance Linked Securities, Leveraged Loans and Infrastructure Loans. You will leverage your financial products knowledge, language and social skills to assist the team in maintaining key client relationships and building new business with prospects. In addition, you will cooperate daily with colleagues in Paris, where SCOR Investment Partners is headquartered. You will be based in Zurich and report to the Co-Head of Sales.

Responsibilities

Support the local senior sales team, in cooperation with the Client Service team in Paris, specifically:

Prepare investment reports, periodic and ad-hoc

Help with questionnaires from clients and consultants

Organize meetings and events, internal and with clients

Answer phone calls and e-mails and deputize senior sales managers in their absence

Help feed the CRM tool, where all client activities are logged

Business analyses:

Business development activity (using the CRM tool)

Competitor analyses (multiple sources)

Qualifications

Required experience & competencies

Good understanding of financial markets, institutional investing and major asset classes, including fixed income, private debt, infrastructure and alternative investments.

Focus on understanding and meeting client needs. Strong interest in business development, client relationship management and sales activities.

Keen to learn and eager to continuously develop financial, commercial and relationship management skills.

Basic understanding of institutional portfolio construction and Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) concepts is desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.

Team player with a high level of curiosity, energy and commitment.

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Language skills: German, English and French.

Required Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is preferred. However, a university degree is not mandatory if the candidate can demonstrate relevant professional experience within banking, asset management or financial services.

Candidates with practical experience and a strong understanding of financial markets and institutional clients are encouraged to apply.

Previous internship or professional experience in banking, asset management, financial services, consulting or institutional sales is highly desirable.

Experience with client acquisition, prospecting or commercial activities would be considered a strong plus.
