Job summary

Vontobel is seeking a Third Party Risk Management Specialist in Zurich, with relocation to Baar planned for 2030, to oversee onboarding, due diligence and ongoing vendor risk assessments across the lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Business Owners, Procurement, Legal, Compliance and Risk functions to ensure third-party relationships are thoroughly assessed, documented and monitored in line with regulatory expectations and internal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Risk Management or related field.
• First professional experience in Procurement, Risk Management, Compliance or Vendor Management.
• Interest in third-party risk management and regulatory topics.
• Structured and detail-oriented working style.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions.
• Good analytical skills and willingness to learn.
• Excellent command of English; German is an advantage.
• Affinity for AI and willingness to embrace AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities

• Owning vendor onboarding, due diligence and periodic re-assessment activities from initiation through completion.
• Conducting vendor risk assessments, documenting results and ensuring identified risks and actions are addressed.
• Maintaining the vendor inventory and ensuring the completeness, accuracy and quality of third-party data.
• Planning, coordinating and completing annual review and continuous monitoring activities.
• Producing reports, presentations and management information on third-party risks, trends and required actions.
• Managing TPRM-related governance, audit and regulatory reporting activities.
• Driving the continuous improvement of TPRM processes, templates and tools.
• Engaging Business Owners and control functions to ensure assessments, reviews and remediation actions are completed accurately and on time.
• Managing audit, regulatory and control-related requests concerning third-party risk management.
• Overseeing TPRM activities throughout the full vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, monitoring, re-assessment and offboarding.

Join the team at the heart of vendor governance and risk management. In this role, you'll oversee third-party assessments, challenge risks, and help strengthen Vontobel’s control environment across the entire vendor lifecycle. What would your role be? As a Third Party Risk Management Specialist, you will own the execution and ongoing development of Vontobel's Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes. You will work closely with Business Owners, Procurement, Legal, Compliance and Risk functions and be accountable for ensuring that third-party relationships are assessed, documented and monitored in line with internal requirements and regulatory expectations.

Location Requirement

This role is based in Zurich but will move to Baar in 2030, ensuring close alignment with key stakeholders in the business.
