Zusammenfassung

Kanadevia Inova in Zurich is seeking an experienced Tendering Engineer to design, size, and cost plant systems for international Waste to Energy EPC bids. You will collaborate with Chief Engineers to deliver heat and mass balances, PFDs, and performance guarantees.

You will optimize system integration across disciplines, review specifications, manage cost drivers, and prepare quotations. The role offers an international, project-based environment with strong growth and diverse technical exposure.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in international EPC environments.
• Strong understanding of process engineering and cost drivers.
• Experience with Waste to Energy technologies (Combustion, Boiler, Flue Gas Treatment).
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Autonomous, proactive, curious, and team-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English (additional languages welcome).

Aufgaben

• Prepare heat & mass balances, process flow diagrams, and performance guarantees with Chief Engineers.
• Optimize system integration to improve cost competitiveness across disciplines.
• Review contract specifications, identify risks, and participate in technical clarifications.
• Calculate budgets for engineering and procurement scope; analyze supplier offers.
• Compile offer documentation and deviations; handover tenders to project execution.
• Maintain tendering know-how, tools, and templates.
• Participate in lessons learned from completed projects.

Job Description

Within the Global Engineering & Supply Chain Tendering department, you will develop process design, sizing and costing of plant systems during the proposal phase of international Waste to Energy EPC projects.

• Prepare heat & mass balances, process flow diagrams, and performance guarantees in close collaboration with Chief Engineers
• Optimise system integration to drive cost competitiveness and coordinate interfaces with various disciplines (process engineering, electrical & control, layout, steel structure, civil, construction, procurement, logistics,…)
• Review contract specifications, identify project risks and opportunities, participate to technical clarification and negotiation meetings with customers and partners
• Calculate the budget for the engineering and procurement scope of supply, support the preparation of requests for quotations for critical equipment and analyse offers received from suppliers
• Compile the offer documentation, deviations, bill of quantities, electrical consumption list,…
• Handover successful tenders to the project execution team
• Actively participate in maintaining tendering know‑how, tools, templates, and seek to implement lessons learned from executed projects

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in an international EPC environment (energy, renewables, environmental technology, oil & gas or similar industry)
• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (Bachelor/Master)
• Solid project execution or tendering background with knowledge in process engineering and good understanding of technical cost drivers
• Experience with WtE technologies (Combustion & Boiler, Flue Gas Treatment, Water Steam Cycle, Balance of Plant)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Autonomous, proactive, curious, flexible and team‑oriented personality
• Fluent in English, other language(s) welcomed

Please note that while this role is advertised in Zurich, candidates based in other locations may also be considered. If selected, employment would be arranged locally in the candidate’s country of residence, with Milan, Bratislava or Levice being preferred alternative locations.
