Job summary

Adecco (Portugal) is seeking a Technical Sales Manager – Watch Components for Switzerland. You will manage customer relationships and coordinate with international manufacturing teams on bracelets, dials, hands and precision components from development through series production.

The role requires strong English, deep watch-component expertise, and willingness to travel; you will collaborate across intercultural teams and align technical and commercial requirements with production.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in watch components, esp. dials/hands.
• Strong technical understanding of development and QA.
• Proven technical sales and cross-functional coordination.
• Fluent English; clear technical explanations.
• Familiar with Swiss watch standards; intercultural work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with existing and prospective customers in the Swiss watch industry.
• Analyse aesthetic, technical and commercial requirements relating to materials, dimensions, finishes, tolerances, quality, pricing and delivery dates.
• Translate drawings, samples and customer specifications into manufacturing instructions.
• Coordinate quotations, prototypes, samples, development projects and production orders.
• Monitor production progress, quality standards and delivery schedules, including corrective actions.
• Travel internationally with six to eight business trips to India per year.

Job description

For our client, an established supplier to the Swiss watch industry, we are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager – Watch Components (m/f/d). In this key position, you will manage customer relationships in Switzerland and coordinate technical and commercial requirements with international manufacturing teams. Your focus will be on watch bracelets, dials, hands and other precision components, from initial development through to series production.

Responsibilities

• Development and management of relationships with existing and prospective customers in the Swiss watch industry
• Analysis of aesthetic, technical and commercial requirements relating to materials, dimensions, finishes, tolerances, quality, pricing and delivery dates
• Translation of drawings, samples and customer specifications into clear and practical manufacturing instructions
• Coordination of quotations, prototypes, samples, development projects and production orders
• Monitoring of production progress, quality standards and delivery schedules, including the coordination of corrective measures
• Close cooperation with international production teams, including approximately six to eight business trips to India per year

Profile

• Substantial professional experience in the watch-component industry, particularly with watch dials and/or watch hands
• Sound technical understanding of component development, manufacturing processes and quality requirements
• Proven experience in technical sales, customer management and coordination between customers and production teams
• Good professional command of English and the ability to explain complex technical requirements clearly and accurately
• Familiarity with Swiss watch‑industry standards and the ability to collaborate effectively within an intercultural environment
• Structured, independent and solution‑oriented working style, combined with attention to detail and willingness to travel regularly
