Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Synthetic Research Chemist for an international role based in Stein, Aargau, Switzerland. This temporary assignment (min 1 year, 100%) focuses on driving research from discovery to development of target molecules with rigorous HSE adherence.

You will design efficient synthesis routes, collaborate with automation and analytical teams, and document procedures with high accuracy to enable IP protection and future digital integration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or 3–5 years of industrial experience in synthetic chemistry.
• Experience with synthetic organic chemistry, reaction design, and purification.
• Ability to work autonomously within a team and maintain HSE standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive research from discovery to development delivering target molecules.
• Synthesis: design and execute synthetic routes with collaboration across platforms.
• Document procedures and data with accuracy for reproducibility and IP protection.
• Carry out risk assessments of experimental procedures per HSE standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratories and workflows.
