The Botnar Institute of Immune Engineering – BIIE in Basel is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist (50-60%) to manage end-to-end payroll operations in full compliance with Swiss law. The role reports to the Head of HR and requires a strong command of payroll regulations, accuracy, and discretion.

Responsibilities include monthly payroll cycles, social insurance compliance, data maintenance, reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of Swiss payroll experience, preferably in research or life sciences.
• Excellent knowledge of Swiss labor law and social insurance frameworks (AHV, BVG, UVG).
• Proficiency with modern payroll software, especially Abacus.
• Native/bilingual German; English skills are valued.

Aufgaben

• Execute monthly payroll cycles for institute personnel, including researchers and staff.
• Administer social insurance contributions and registrations; handle declarations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate employee master data and payroll records in the HRIS; manage leave processes.
