City of Winterthur is seeking a Supervisor for Collective Accommodations to support residents with diverse needs across three locations, starting Nov 1, 2026, fixed-term until Aug 31, 2027.

The role focuses on delivering daily care, coordinating case managers, writing progress notes, managing conflicts with preventive measures, and organizing learning and leisure activities. German language proficiency at B2 is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training in the care sector and/or experience with people in emergency situations, ideally in asylum accommodation.
• Demonstrates intercultural competencies and ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Shows resilience, conflict resolution skills, and flexibility; willing to work shifts (excluding nights, weekends, holidays).
• German language skills at least at level B2; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

Would you like to apply your skills in a varied and challenging environment while supporting people in a difficult life situation? In the team of collective accommodations of the city of Winterthur, which cares for around 350 people at three locations, you will take on the following tasks starting from November 1, 2026, or by agreement, initially fixed-term until August 31, 2027:

Your Tasks

• Ensuring daily care and support for residents with individual challenges
• Ensuring a flawless flow of information through collaboration with case managers, writing progress notes, and other administrative tasks
• Enforcement of house rules as well as situation-appropriate action in conflicts by initiating preventive measures
• Organization of learning and leisure activities

Your Profile

• Completed vocational training in the care sector and/or experience working with people in an emergency situation, ideally in an asylum accommodation
• Intercultural competencies and enjoyment in collaborating with people from a migration background
• Resilience, conflict resolution skills, and flexibility, as well as willingness to work shifts (without night, weekend, and holiday shifts)
• German language skills at least at level B2; knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage
